RESEARCH TEAM
Our work plan as CEMMI is to carry out basic and applied research in experimental sciences and scientific education, which implies inceptive technology transfer in Colombia. We put together human resources of quality and competitiveness capable of transmitting the knowledge gathered through these innovative methodologies; this includes through the formation of the undergraduate and Master’s thesis, the attendance of national and international conferences, the submission of articles to indexed national and international magazines, and the execution of courses aimed at research centers, universities, the state, and the industry as a whole.

BEAR MOUNTAIN PROJECT
Sustainable ecotourism supported by ICTs (Information and Communications Technologies) in the high mountain ecosystem of Bear Mountain, in the village of Yerbabuena in Chía, Cundinamarca.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
To develop a technological application that allows the community to learn about, identify, and get involved with the ecosystem through sustainable ecotourism.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
1. Characterize the flora and fauna within those of the mountain’s trails used for ecotourism tours.
2. Encourage the use of ICTs to promote the safekeeping and growth of the mountain’s Andean forest ecosystem.
3. Implement pedagogy and analysis through the cultivation of knowledge in the community of the surrounding municipality of Chía.
